PARTNERS: A Visual Arts Mentoring Program, enables adult artists with special needs to work one-on-one with professional artist mentors who help them to refine technique, try new media or learn the intricacies of professionalism. The program each year culminates in an exhibition in the Art Access Gallery, showing the work of both emerging and professional artists.
Apprentice artists, this year, are: Charles Anasco, Adrianne Mikelsen, David Olvera, Daniel Bodily, Jasmine Blu Vogel, Jon Covert and Norv Lambert.
Professional mentors are: Ed Napia, Dennis Mecham, John Erickson, Susan Gallacher, Bonnie Sucec, Larry Christensen and Ann Pineda.
Media explored this year include: pottery, photography, painting, three dimensional found object art and drawing.
