Here's a great chance to explore the art of book and portfolio making through a variety of creative projects! In this session, local artist Heidi Ferguson will demonstrate the many ways that decorative papers can be created and transformed into unique books and portfolios to be filled with artwork. Participant will explore a variety of fun decorating and printing techniques such as monoprints, relief printing and paste papers. They will also create a few simple book styles including pamphlet, accordion fold, and stab binding. As a culminating project, the young artists will be encouraged to stretch their wings and make a unique art book using new and recycled materials.

Workshop Dates: Thursdays from 4:30pm to 6:00pm, January 5-February 23

Maximum Enrollment: 10 (20 with adult/peer partners)

Fee: $50, including all materials. Check should be made to Art Access (no additional fee for partner companion).
