In an announcement made yesterday by Salt Lake County's Zoo Arts and Parks (ZAP), Art Access was named among 23 recipients of Tier I funding for 2014. As a result, Art Access will receive ZAPisYouSLCoColorVerapproximately $63,000 of the ZAP tax to help fund its art programs.

This is the first time Art Access has received Tier I funding through ZAP. "We are honored and delighted," says Art Access Executive Director Sheryl Gillilan. "In 2014 Art Access will celebrate its 30 year anniversary. I couldn't think of a better gift than to be placed among ZAP's top tier recipients."

Funding, such as the ZAP tax, allows Art Access to provide inclusive arts programming to Utahns with disabilities and those with limited access to the arts. Some examples of these programs include art workshops for veterans, as well as for children, teens and adults with and without disabilites.
