Over the past two years, Art Access has partnered with art therapist Jill Johnson (MAAT) and organizations such as the YWCA of Utah, Hill Air Force Base, the National Ability Center, and others to serve survivors of sexual abuse in Utah.

In April 2018 Art Access will present the exhibit Resilience and Power: Art by Survivors of Sexual Abuse featuring art and writing from Art Access program participants and the broader artist community of Utah. With this exhibit Art Access will offer survivors an opportunity to share their stories in order to create deeper community understanding around sexual violence.

Call for Entry Details:

Local artists with first or second-hand experience with sexual abuse/assault are invited to submit proposals for 2-5 pieces of new artwork as part of a group show. All mediums will be considered.

The exhibit will run April 20 - May 4, 2018.

A one-paragraph proposal should be emailed to  Wednesday, July 12th, 2017.

You should detail your approach to this topic and what you will submit as a final product. Finished art will be due by Friday, April 13th.

Notification of acceptance will be made by Friday, July 28th, 2017.
